Erica James has a Law Practice in the Beach community in Toronto’s east end. She is a member of the Bars of both Ontario and Massachusetts and has practiced extensively in both jurisdictions. Her general practice includes such areas as Real Estate, Wills, Estates, Contracts, Small Business and related areas.
A Past President of the Ontario Bar Association, she is an active volunteer in the legal community. In 1995, Erica was given the Ontario Bar Association’s Award for Distinguished Service.
Erica has served on the Human Rights Committee for an organization providing housing and services for developmentally-challenged adults, and established social networking opportunities for vouths with Asperger’s Syndrome and has received many awards for her community work.
Erica’s first career was an occupational therapist, working in the UK . US and Canada before entering law. She and her husband, Fred Sommers, have two adult children, Derek and Claire.
